Patients with a known allergy to hyaluronic acid based products should not undergo treatment, nor should patients with bleeding disorders, or active skin disease such as inflammation, infection or tumors in or near the area to be treated. Discuss contraindications, warnings and precautions with your healthcare practitioner before Sofiderm treatment.
As Sofiderm is a non-permanent injectable product, it will degrade gradually in the body, treatment effect may vary depending on treatments areas, age, activity level and injection dose. Please consult the practitioner for detailed information in order to maintain the aesthetic result, and top-up treatments are recommended.
Within the first 24 hours, patients should avoid makeup, strenuous exercise, extensive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages. Exposure to any of the above may cause temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the injection sites.
Since Sodiferm treatments are clinically proven for gradually improving facial conditions, it is recommended to have touch up treatment for maintaining the results achieved in the initial treatment. Touch-up treatments will most likely require lower volumes of Sofiderm, depending on the injecting area and the time gaps between the treatments.
The most common side effects include treatment site reactions such as swelling, bruising, pain or tenderness, discoloration/hyperpigmentation, redness, itching, lumps. In most cases, symptoms were of mild to moderate intensity and resolved in 7 days or less. Other potential side effects can occur with dermal filler or Meso injections. You should discuss the potential treatment risks with your health-care practitioner.
For sodiferm cross-linked dermal fillers, you will see results immediately after the injection
For Sofiderm Meso therapy, it takes 1-3 months (several sessions accordingly) to see the results.
